We are delighted here at Hangar Art and Framing to welcome Allison Young to be our featured artist throughout the month of July, with her Exhibition titled Silent Shore.
My paintings are the result of walks along the East Lothian Coast, in all seasons and weather. I like the emptiness of the beaches, choosing to walk early in the morning, or later in the evening, when the beaches have become silent again.
Allison graduated from Edinburgh College of Art, with First Class Honours in 1988. She then completed a Postgraduate course there, before spending a year studying in Poland at Lodz School of Art. Allison now has a studio with WASPS in Edinburgh, and exhibits all over Scotland.
